The Sr. Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in Pizza Lucé’s employee-oriented, fast and productive workplace in which employees are energized and engaged to perform at their best. This person helps set and maintain the culture, strategy, and reputation of the company based on the vision and mission. This position will lead in areas of employee relations, supports recruitment efforts, compensation, and benefits, training and development, performance management process, w/c and safety, leaves administration, and policy creation, among other areas. They ensure compliance and efficiencies throughout the entire organization without losing the sense and spirit of our core values.

Supports all functional areas under human resources, including but not limited to:
Employee Relations - work with the restaurant management team to identify issues, investigate and resolve employee relations issues that come up, with a sense of urgency.
Recruitment - direct recruitment of talent for all open salaried positions, and assisting the stores with hourly positions in accordance to federal and state guidelines and PL’s policies. Review and maintain the hiring database of applicants.
Diversity and Inclusion - ensure recruitment and promotions follow in line with PL’s values and policies and federal and state guidelines. COVID-19 - administer and support managers and staff on COVID-19 internal processes and procedures.
Workers’ Compensation and Safety - administer the w/c program in line with state compliance and PL’s policy to ensure a secure and compliant workforce.
Employee Leave Programs - carry out and administer all leave programs in line with federal and state guidelines and PL’s policy.
Unemployment - Manage and respond to unemployment claims, by providing information to the state, and attending Unemployment hearings and wage data.
Communications - Partner with the HR Director and Training & Development Manager to add/manage content, manage user permission, and engage employees in a PL communication platform called The Slice.
Works closely with the HR Director and the payroll department to assist in audits and ensure compliance.
Ability to carry on a task or project with little, or a lot of input from others, even in times of ambiguity.
Administers and leads Workers' Compensation programs in compliance with Federal and State OSHA laws.
Performs other administration projects and duties as needed by the business.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS Degree. Human Resources certification or degree a plus.
Bilingual skills English/Spanish preferred
3-5 years of meaningful and continuous leadership and human resources management experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant setting.
Demonstrable experience leading and managing employee relations and performance management.
Proficient in Google Suite computer literacy. Ability to use and analyze spreadsheets in print and web-based.
Excellent communication skills. Able to do public speaking and presentation experience in a variety of group settings. Strong training and negotiation skills. Able to give and receive constructive feedback, and manage through ambiguity to apply the best counsel for the betterment of the organization.
Excellent time management skills. Able to maintain others on pace and ready to act.
Creative and innovative and very knowledgeable toward the changing HR and market trends.
From time to time, able to travel and visit all restaurants.
